    With effect from 1 October 2020, all SmartDrive policies on authorised workshop plan, with policy number starting with“GA” will be assigned an authorised workshop using a tender/bidding system for Own Damage (OD) repair claims for private motor vehicles that are more than 5 years old from date of manufacture

    The above changes will be implemented as follows:
    1. New Business – New policies transacted from 1 October 2020 onwards;
    2. Renewals – Renewed policies with POI from 1 December 2020 onwards;
    3. Renewals – Existing policies with Period of Insurance ending on or before 30 October 2020;
    OD claims process would be as per existing arrangements with option to accept/decline
    OD Tender.

    From 1 September 2020, you should not get new project WIC policies. Employers must get WIC insurance for your employees, even if they are covered by project WIC policies.

    If your employees are only covered under a project WIC policy, you may be charged for non-insurance. This is because project WIC policies dont cover some instances of work injury, such as injury that occurred in company transport or while working outside the project site.
